Daisy de Puthod - Plein Air Works: A Collection

Studio hours for the show will be Thursday - Saturday 11am - 5pm and Sundays 12 - 4pm. Also available by appointment or chance.

Daisy de Puthod, a renowned local artist from the Hudson Valley, has joined Oh! Designs Interiors in Cold Spring, NY, where she now exhibits her evocative paintings depicting the area's picturesque landscapes.

Over the years, De Puthod’s art has captivated audiences at numerous venues, including the annual Garrison Art Center auctions, Boscobel’s gift shop, and beloved local restaurants such as The Riverview and Cathryn’s. The Bannerman Island Gallery in Beacon has also regularly showcased her talent during its paint-out art shows.

With an illustrious art career spanning 50 years, De Puthod has explored diverse creative fields, including work for Marvel Comics, fashion and book illustrations, and designing theatre and dance posters—one of which was for the legendary Mikhail Baryshnikov. She has also painted commissioned portraits, including several of actor Pedro Pascal rendered from life, long before his rise to stardom.

Now celebrated as a master Plein-Air painter, De Puthod has been juried into over 20 prestigious Plein-Air events across the United States, from California to Maine. She is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society. Renowned for her representational style, De Puthod demonstrates remarkable versatility, mastering mediums such as oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, gouache, pencil, and charcoal.

Her paintings have been featured in prestigious art museums and magazines, and they grace numerous prominent collections, earning her widespread recognition.

Parking is free Monday through Thursday with some areas having time restrictions. You must pay for parking on Main Street Friday through Sunday. Parking is free at the Metro North Train Station on Saturdays and Sundays.
