Me at WNWN 2025
Talk about a kid in a candy store. I love going to What’s New, What’s Next at the New York Design Center each year because it’s a single-day marathon of the top showrooms unveiling their latest collections, which gives us designers an immersive hands-on look at the textures, forms, and color palettes that will shape the future in interior design.
And WNWN 2025 revealed a clear design direction: curves, comfort, and effortless elegance.
What’s Hot: Everywhere I looked, furniture was softened with rounded forms, whether in upholstered pieces, wood details, or entire silhouettes.
What’s Not: Gone are overly ornate, traditional details. In their place: simple, modern lines with subtly curved profiles (and some bold waves). These pieces are sculptural and interesting… and whisper ‘effortless elegance’.
My favorite chair from Cliff Young. A work of art and so comfortable.
Put your feet up!
Walking around and taking in these curvy, comfortable designs, I could imagine creating relaxed and inviting rooms for my clients furnished with these works of art, rooms meant for living elegantly - with a twist of fun.
Materials meant for relaxed comfort.
Another standout trend? Textural fabrics. Think nubby weaves, open fibers, and soft-touch finishes that add depth without feeling heavy or structured. And the color story ties it all together: subdued palettes of grayed-down pastels, layered for harmony. The effect is serene, comfortable, and welcoming—like a space that whispers “sit down, stay awhile, let’s share a drink.” Yes please. **
Are you interested in bringing the future of elegant comfort into your home? If so, let’s talk. The first step is always a complimentary Discovery Call. You can tell me what you’re looking for, and whether its something straight out of the showrooms of WNWN or another style entirely, I promise that I’ll help you find it. And we’ll have a lot of fun along the way.
Have a happy day!
